Born and raised in rural Westmoreland County, Virginia, Tiffany McCoy relocated to Richmond, Virginia after graduating high school. She built a successful career in the financial industry with over 18 years of dedication and hard work. She holds a Series 7 and Series 99, regulated by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and her Series 66 license, overseen jointly by FINRA and the North American Securities Administration Association (NASA).

Tiffany, founder of Money Smart With Tiffany, LLC and author of Money Smart: A Financial Literacy Guide for Teens, is passionate about empowering the next generation with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed financially. She frequently volunteers with youth programs focused on financial literacy and career readiness, helping teens build strong money habits and plan for bright futures. Whether speaking to a classroom or leading a workshop, she believes every teen—no matter where they start—deserves the tools to build a smart financial foundation.

Tiffany has officially earned the Certified Financial Education Instructor℠ (CFEI®) credential. This national certification recognizes financial educators who have demonstrated both subject mastery and the ability to effectively teach personal finance in schools, community programs, youth organizations, and group learning environments. A lot of people can talk about money. Few are trained to teach it in a way that is clear, relatable, and life-changing; breaking down complex money topics into clear, practical lessons that people of all ages can understand and apply immediately.

This certification reflects her ongoing commitment to empowering teens, families, and communities with the financial skills needed for lifelong success. Financial literacy is more than numbers — it’s confidence, choices, freedom, and future stability.

Upon obtaining her CFEI®, Tiffany is now a member of the National Financial Educators Council 's United for Literacy Advocacy Committee.

Tiffany is also a Financial Education Mentor for the Success Foundation.  The Success Foundation is dedicated to empowering young adults-particularly those who have come the foster care system or arrived in the U.S. as unaccompanied refugee minors.  As a Financial Education Mentor, Tiffany Will be helping young adults build the money skills they need to navigate adulthood.
