Join The Sawubona School of Excellence on Sunday, June 1st at 12:30 p.m. for Manumission Tour Company’s walking tour, “Still’s Underground Railroad.” This 90-minute tour will raise participants awareness of abolitionist, William Still and Old Town Alexandria’s significance in the Underground Railroad. This tour is appropriate for children. Reading the children’s book “William Still and His Freedom Stories: The Father of the Underground Railroad” by Don Tate is advised to give children context before the tour. Purchase tickets at www.manumissiontours.com. Select “Still’s Underground Railroad.” Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children.
